Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Superior Waters ("SUPERIOR," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects the information you provide through superiorh2o.com (the "Site"). SUPERIOR Natural Mineral Water is an Icenta Water brand, bottled at the source in Marenisco, Michigan, USA.
1. Information we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Site and our early-access mailing list.
- Information you give us. When you use the "Get Notified" form, we collect the email address you submit and whether you opted in to retail availability updates and tasting-event notices. If you email us directly, we receive the contents of that message.
- Information collected automatically. When you submit the form, we also record technical details tied to that submission: your IP address, browser user-agent, a timestamp, and the referring page. Our hosting provider additionally processes standard server and security logs for every visit.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. How we use your information
- To notify you when SUPERIOR becomes available near you, and to send retail availability updates and tasting-event invitations if you opted in.
- To respond to inquiries you send us.
- To protect the Site from spam and abuse (for example, bot-detection and honeypot checks on the form).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
3. Service providers we share it with
We use a small number of trusted third-party processors to run the Site and mailing list. They handle your data only to provide their service to us, and each maintains its own privacy policy. Data may be processed in the United States.
- Cloudflare — website hosting/delivery, bot protection (the Turnstile challenge on our form), and privacy-focused visitor measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics). See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google — signups are recorded to a Google Sheet via Google Apps Script; the Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts; and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 measures how the Site is used. - Mailgun (Sinch) — delivers the notification email of your signup to our team. See Mailgun's Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
4. Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your information for cross-site advertising. We use two measurement tools, which work differently:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (always on, no cookies). This is cookieless and records only aggregate information such as page views, referring site, country, and browser type. It does not fingerprint you or follow you across other websites.
- Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent). When you first visit, we ask
whether you accept analytics cookies. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, Google
Analytics is never loaded and no
_gacookies are set. If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_gaand_ga_<id>, which expire after about 13 months) and collects pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you reached the Site. We have disabled Google Signals and ads-personalisation on this property, so the data is used for measurement only.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or use your browser's Do Not Track / cookie controls.
Separately, Cloudflare Turnstile may set a strictly-functional token to verify that a form submission is human, and Cloudflare may use cookies necessary for security and delivery. These are required for the Site to work and are not used for analytics or advertising.
5. Your choices and rights
- Opt out. You can ask to be removed from our mailing list at any time by emailing sales@superiorh2o.com.
- Access, correction, deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email sales@superiorh2o.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
6. Data retention
We keep signup information for as long as needed to operate the mailing list and product launch, and then only as long as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including transport encryption (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
